Following on from a very promising performance against Rathcoffey on Monday night, our Seniors travelled to Grange for a Challenge game on Thursday evening.

After a tight opening half Kildangan led 1.6 to 0.5 at the break with Mark O’Donovan finding the net mid-way through the half. Two early goals after the break form Mark O’Donovan and Oisin Irvin opened a gap that the home team, tried hard but, couldn’t close.

We defended well all through the game with Alex McCann having another fine game in the number 6 jersey and Damien Cairns once again solid in the corner. We kicked some really good scores when the game opened up in the second half with Daniel Gilbert and Bryan Adams adding points along with a superb long range score from full back Adam Balmer.

Mark O’Donovan completed his hat trick when he netted our fourth goal before Killian Scully capped a fine performance with a great finish to the roof of the net. A final scoreline of 5.13 to 1.11 was a fair reflection of how the game went and it’s a timely boost ahead of our pre-season Cup game against Athgarvan on Monday next.

Well done to everyone involved.
