Our U12s made the short trip to Round Towers on Wednesday for the opening round of the league. Short several key players this was always going to be a difficult fixture. Kildangan made a slow start playing up the hill but stout defending from Daragh Coughlan and Seamus Fitzpatrick kept us in the game. Two Towers goals just before half-time put some daylight between the teams. Kildangan improved in the second half with Annabelle Tormey and Abigail Fenlon tidying up at the back. Points by Oisin McWey and Jake Curran got us moving and with Casey McEvoy, Sean Casey and Alice Mahon gathering more possession in the middle third we were now a greater threat up front. Time wasn’t on our side however and Towers held on for the win. Our next league game is at home to Celbridge provisionally fixed for Friday 12th of April where hopefully a home win will get our league campaign up and running.
