Abbey Rangers played the 2nd round of the summer league last Thursday night and fought every minute to get a draw result against Aylmer Gales.
It wasn’t an easy start with only 15 players available as 9 were away for the holiday season.
A good start by Aylmer Gales seen them go 2 points ahead before Abbey Rangers scored 2 goals in succession.
After trading several scores Aylmer Gales were getting the upper hand and led at half time 2-11 to Abbey Rangers 4-02
The second half seen Aylmer Gales add multiple points but Abbey Rangers kept on attacking and with their superior speed up front seen them register a further 2 goals and add 5 points.
The final score on the night was Abbey Rangers 6-07 to Aylmer Gales 2-19. Two very different scoreline but a draw result.

Kevin Nolan working non stop in mid field and scoring 1-01. Tomas Dunne adding 2 cracking goals to his tally for the season.
After beating St Kevin’s in the first round on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-09 it sets up the boys for a final game against Naas to decide the winner of the summer league.
