U16’s off to a Championship win 5-15 to 3-07 against Two Mile House.
The U16 team played away to TMH on Thursday evening in their first round of the championship.
The opening 10 minutes was played at the usual high energy pace from both teams with TMH registering 3 points and Abbey Rangers missing a number of shots.
Abbey Rangers were playing well and the scores did start coming with the opening score a cracking goal from Calum Walsh. That was the start of the flow and Abbey Rangers continued to dominate to lead 3-05 to 1-04 at half time.
TMH started the second half strong and did test the Abbey Rangers defence however were unable to turn the game. The Abbey Rangers boys rallied again to add on a number of well taken scores to close out the game.
Stand out players on the day were Oisin O’Reilly and Brody Dunne both in centre field, Jack Fagan who was solid in defence and Adam Martin, Tomas Dunne and Devan Abbey the trio that done most of the damage up front.
