The lashing rain around Stephen O’Rourke Park in Ballykelly on Monday evening didn’t dampen the excitement or spirit of this local derby. 

In what can only be described as monsoon conditions, the quality, teamwork, commitment and skill of each and every Kildangan player on the field really shone through. 

While no inch was given between both sets of players during the game it was great to see both teams mixing after the final whistle. In the coming years the boys off each team will come together as Abbey Rangers and hopefully have plenty of great days ahead together.
