The Kildangan U8s closed out September with a determined performance against a strong Robertstown side, battling not just their opponents, but relentless rain as well. Robertstown Wearing their traditional blue jerseys, the young team faced tough conditions from the first whistle , arrived with only nine players, requiring Kildangan to manage high-impact, rolling substitutions throughout the match. Despite the challenging weather and the need to constantly rotate, the Kildangan players showed tremendous effort and resilience. It was fantastic to see such a dedicated group of green & gold players out in force, completely unbothered by the downpour.
This fixture marks another success story in their Autumn series, which is rapidly drawing to a close. The coaches have clearly noted the development of this group, highlighting the significant progress the players have made this season.
The team now looks forward to two away games next week against Grange and Ballykelly as they aim to finish the series on a high. Well done to all the players for a great effort in the tough conditions!
