There was a fantastic buzz at this year’s Monasterevin St Patrick’s Day Parade, with Kildangan GAA out in great numbers for what was a brilliant community celebration.

With sustainability as the theme, a standout float was designed by Karen Gilroy and brought to life by her team, showcasing real creativity, colour and attention to detail.

We were delighted to see such a strong turnout from the club, with members of all ages taking part — particularly our younger members who braved the elements and came out in great numbers to support the day.

While we didn’t come away with a prize this year, it was a hugely enjoyable occasion and a great representation of the club and community.

Congratulations to Kildangan 25th Scouts, deserving winners on the day and a great example of the talent and spirit within the village.

A sincere thank you to Fran Cleary for driving the float, and to EJ Lawler, who once again played his part as our resident St. Patrick.

A big thank you also to the Monasterevin St Patrick’s Festival organising committee for putting together such a well-run and enjoyable event for the whole community.

A great day all round — and one that really captured the spirit of the club and community.
