As part of our 25 year celebrations, Kildangan GAA is preparing a special commemorative book to mark the milestone — and we are asking the community to help us shape it.

This book will capture the story of the club over the past 25 years, but also reflect the people, places and moments around it. The aim is to produce a high-quality publication that properly records the history of Kildangan GAA and the wider community it represents.

To do that, we are looking for quality photographs that can be included in the book.

While football will form a big part of it, this is about much more than matches or teams. We are asking people to bring along photographs that reflect:

If it helps tell the story of Kildangan and its people, then it is worth bringing.

  Photo Collection Days

📍 Kildangan GAA Clubhouse

🗓 Friday 24th April — 6.30pm to 9.00pm
🗓 Saturday 25th April — 10.00am to 2.00pm

All photographs will be scanned on the day and returned immediately — nothing will be kept.

📸 Important – What Type of Photos We Need

To ensure the book is produced to a high standard, we are focusing on:

👉 Printed photographs
👉 Images taken on digital cameras

These are the types of images that reproduce properly in print.

Unfortunately, mobile phone images are not suitable for this project, as they do not provide the quality required for a printed publication.

If you are unsure about a photograph, bring it along and we can advise on the day.

This is an opportunity to create something lasting.

A book like this should not just record results or finals. It should reflect the life of the club and the community around it — the people who built it, the occasions that brought people together, and the memories that define it.

Some of the most valuable photographs may not be from big games at all, but from moments that capture what Kildangan is about.
