There’s a big week ahead for Kildangan both on and off the pitch, with action across all grades and a major push continuing around the club.

On the Pitch
Fixtures get underway Wednesday evening with our U14s travelling to face Suncroft.

On Thursday, it’s a double header with our U16s away to Rathangan and our U10s hosting Rheban in Kildangan.

Our U16s go into that game on the back of a good win earlier this week and will be hoping to build on that and push towards a semi-final place in what is a very competitive league.

Friday evening  juvenile training continues while our U12s travel to Raheens, before attention turns to Saturday where our Senior team host Rheban in More O’Ferrall Park.

It’s the start of a very busy run for the Senior panel, who will travel to Castlemitchell on Tuesday 5th May for a refixed fixture, before finishing this phase of the league with a Friday night clash on May 8th against Monasterevin in More O’Ferrall Park.
These games will be key as they look to continue their progress and secure a place in the top half of the league heading into the closing stages.

Best of luck to all teams and management — support is appreciated across all teams venues this week.

Off the Pitch – Membership

Coaches have now been advised that no player can be included in training or matches unless they are fully registered members.

This is a requirement, as all players must be covered under the GAA Injury Benefit Fund, which comes with membership. There is no discretion on this.

Membership can be completed here:

Off the Pitch – Stone Clearing

This week we are in a week long major push on the stone clearing as work continues on preparing the new Juvenile pitch (directly) across from
The clubhouse.

The aim is simple — get the pitch cleared of stones and ready as soon as possible so our younger players can get out and use it.

There has been a brilliant response so far, but we need this to continue  throughout week to really drive it on and get it finished.

We’ll take a break on Wednesday evening to allow people support the Kildangan Scouts Clean Up, and then it’s back to it.

Remaining times:
  • Tuesday – 6.30pm
  • Thursday – 6.30pm
  • Friday – 7.30pm
  • Saturday – 10.00am & 5.00pm
Every half an hour you can give makes a difference. The more people we have, the quicker we get this pitch ready for use.
