On sunny Wednesday evening our under 12s welcomed Ballykelly to Moore O Farrell park. With the majority of players from both sides playing together between Abbey Rangers, Trinity Gaels and Kildangan NS this was always going to be an entertaining game.
It certainly lived up to that, with both teams giving it their all in the glorious sunshine. Ballykelly started much brighter and took an early lead. Kindangan started to come into the game after a much needed water break and managed to take the lead before half time.
The second half provided the same quality from both teams with every player giving their all for their respective clubs. Kildangan managed to hold on to their lead to come away with the win after a very entertaining and closely contested game of football.
Well done to all the boys and girls from Kildangan and Ballykelly.
Our attention now turns to our final match in this phase of the league against Milltown on Friday
