It’s a relatively light fixture list this week, but there’s still plenty happening around the club as we move through August.

Our U12s are back in championship action on Friday evening when they travel to Celbridge, while our U10s make the trip to Ballymore on Saturday afternoon.

Friday evening underage training continues on the Juvenile Pitch, and it’s great to see the numbers climbing again as families return from their summer holidays — perhaps the surest sign yet that the return to school isn’t too far away!

There’s not long to wait now — our Kildangan GAA Summer Camp 2026 gets underway next Tuesday, 18 August at 10.00am.

After the fantastic week we had last year, we’re looking forward to four more days of football, games, fun and plenty of activity at the club.

The camp runs from Tuesday 18th to Friday 21st August, 10.00am–2.00pm each day, and is open to boys and girls aged 6–13, both members and non-members.

There are still some places available, so there’s still time to join us.

Next up in our 25th Anniversary celebrations is our Festival of Football & BBQ, from 1.45pm–6.00pm at More O’Ferrall Park.

This one is for the entire club. From our U6s right through the juvenile age groups to an adult mixed game open to everyone, we want as many people as possible out on the pitch during the afternoon — whether you play every week, haven’t kicked a ball in 20 years or have never played at all!

There’ll be football, a BBQ, homemade treats, plenty of craic and a whole-club photograph towards the end of the afternoon.

It’s completely free, there’s no booking required, and coaches will be gathering numbers over the coming weeks. Please let your coach know if your family is coming — and particularly if you’d be willing to pull on the boots for even five minutes in the adult game.

Then it’s time to swap the football boots for the dancing shoes!

Our first Kildangan GAA Dinner Dance in over 10 years takes place at The Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, on Saturday 10 October.

It’s an opportunity to bring players, members, families and friends — past and present — together under one roof to celebrate 25 years of Kildangan GAA.
