It’s a busy week of football across the club, with six teams in action and championship campaigns continuing for our U14s, Minors and Seniors.
Our U11s and U8s get the week underway on Wednesday evening, with the U11s welcoming our friends and neighbours Ballykelly to Kildangan while the U8s travel to Rathangan.
Also on Wednesday, our Abbey Rangers Minors travel to Confey for Round Two of their Championship, before our U14 Abbey Rangers take on Ballymore in Kildangan on Thursday evening, also in Round Two of the Championship.
Our U9s are at home to Eadestown on Saturday afternoon before attention turns to our Seniors on Sunday.

Our Seniors head into Sunday’s game following their opening-round victory over Ballykelly and will be looking to build on that positive start when they face Castlemitchell.
With three championship games alongside plenty of underage football, we’d love to see plenty of green and gold on the sidelines throughout the week. Your support is always appreciated and particularly important as we move into the heart of championship season.
Best of luck to every player, coach and management team representing Kildangan and Abbey Rangers this week. 💚💛
25th Anniversary Festival of Football & BBQ – Saturday 12 September 💚💛
Next up in our 25th Anniversary celebrations is our Festival of Football & BBQ, from 1.45pm–6.00pm at More O’Ferrall Park.
This one is for the entire club. From our U6s right through the juvenile age groups to an adult mixed game open to everyone, we want as many people as possible out on the pitch during the afternoon — whether you play every week, haven’t kicked a ball in 20 years or have never played at all!
There’ll be football, a BBQ, homemade treats, plenty of craic and a whole-club photograph towards the end of the afternoon.
It’s completely free, there’s no booking required, and coaches will be gathering numbers over the coming weeks. Please let your coach know if your family is coming — and particularly if you’d be willing to pull on the boots for even five minutes in the adult game.
25th Anniversary Dinner Dance – Saturday 10 October 💚💛
Then it’s time to swap the football boots for the dancing shoes!
Our first Kildangan GAA Dinner Dance in over 10 years takes place at The Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, on Saturday 10 October.
It’s an opportunity to bring players, members, families and friends — past and present — together under one roof to celebrate 25 years of Kildangan GAA.
