Plenty to look forward to this week, with four championship games, a local derby and another outing for our ever-improving U11s.

We get underway on Wednesday evening, when our U11s travel to Robertstown for a 7pm throw-in.

Then at 8pm in Monasterevin, Abbey Rangers Minors face Monasterevin in a local championship derby with plenty at stake. Both sides have enjoyed strong campaigns, and the winners will finish top of the championship group.

On Thursday evening, the Abbey Rangers U14s continue their championship campaign away to Castledermot at 6.30pm.

Our U12s are next into championship action on Friday at 6.45pm, welcoming Rheban/Grange to Kildangan.

Then it’s the Seniors on Saturday.

After the opening two rounds, it all comes down to a winner-takes-all encounter with Cappagh in Clane at 3pm. Victory will see Kildangan qualify for the next stage of the Junior Football Championship, while defeat would see us drop into the Junior A competition.

Cappagh, a Division 3 side, will provide a serious test. Our lads will be eager to consolidate the progress made this year by keeping their place in the main championship — and a big Kildangan support in Clane would be greatly appreciated. 💚💛

We’re now less than two weeks away from our 25th Anniversary Festival of Football, taking place at More O’Ferrall Park on Saturday 12 September from 1.45pm–6pm.

Players, parents, former players and anyone from the local community are invited to come along, get involved and enjoy the day. And don’t forget — we’d love as many families as possible to bring a cake, buns or a treat for the table!

And then it’s Saturday 10 October for our 25th Anniversary Dinner Dance at The Keadeen Hotel — our first Dinner Dance in over ten years.
